Anyone else noticed an absence of the occasional rear end clunk (shaft clunk). My R1250GS used to do it, before and after the shaft recall/replacement, as did my previous R1200GS.
It was usually going over speed bumps and the like, or rough roads when accelerating, not all the time but every now and then.
I’ve not noticed it at all on the 1300 and wonder if the new longer, less acute angle design has sorted it.
If it has improved the design it wouldn’t explain why it’s now a service replacement item though.

It only clonks on the 1300 when you put oil in the FD 😉

I’m sure there will be a recall to fit the “clunk” very soon, once everyone notices it’s missing.

Or you could just record the clunk from a 1200 and play it via your helmet speakers…..
