Back in the day, the original 600cc Hornet was a much nicer bike than the big brother. The latter hardly sold but the 600cc one was very successful, especially with the vertically challenged.

Back in the day, the original 600cc Hornet was a much nicer bike than the big brother. The latter hardly sold but the 600cc one was very successful, especially with the vertically challenged.

IIRC the original big hornet ran the fireblade motor in a heavy detuned output, making it only a little more powerful than its 600cc brother. At around the same time the Fazer thou was almost the full power of its R1 doner, which is probably the biggest reason the Hornet didn’t sell.
Why do honda keep doing this? They do it all the time. Pan1300 125hp, CTX1300 detuned to 95 ffs, no wonder that didn’t sell either.
