I have a USB power socket on my 2012 1200GSA and would like to power an Insta 360 action camera whilst on the move to increase the operation time. When I plug the power lead in it registers on the devices display but although it does extend the life a bit it still dies after an hour and a half. The output of the socket doesnt seem powerful enough. Can that be altered through the EXCAN software?

I didnt install it but presume it's not hard wired as it did the same with my phone.

USB sockets can be different.
you need a Q3 USB charger.

I have the Insta360 too, not tried charging on the move, but i have my GoPros and they charge fine.

The easiest way to provide power to just about any camera or phone charger, is via an excellent Thunderbox.

That being said, you do sometimes need to be a little careful as some USB connectors do not work quite as well as they might. For example, I had an Optimate (usually very good) which just cut-out, for no apparent reason. I dug out a cheap ‘Chinese’ eBay one from my box of bits and it was fine.
