As you get older time seems to go quicker. Unfortunately my Omega Seamaster automatic seems to agree and has started putting on an hour a day or thereabouts! (I would have to confess to dropping it on a hard floor after hopping around trying to get my clothes off after several of Arthur’s finest product)
Can anyone recommend an old fashioned watchmaker that could fix it for me without ripping my legs off and beating me with the sticky ends? I am allegedly within 5 miles of the geographical centre of Ireland…

I have used this guy twice now to repair/service my Tag & a vintage Omega and the quality of service has been amazing https://genesiswatchmaking.co.uk/.

I'm not sure why I can't message you..............maybe my sub has expired.
If you can........pop me a message with your contact details and I will send you the details of a super lady I have been using now for a couple of years.........she specialises in Omega.

(I had let my subscription lapse........all sorted now)

My mum got my dad’s seamaster fixed when he died. It went to omega in Switzerland and they said they could not fix it. I’ll get you the name of the lad here in Dublin who fixed it if you like?

I have used this guy recently to get a vintage Longines Flagship back up and running. Based in Dundee.

I will when mum comes out of hospital. Next couple of days. She will need the address book! Things like this go in the book not on the phone. So she says anyway and if she’s happy I’m happy get back soon.

I think this lad sourced a replacement second hand part. He said it will never keep time as new but it’s losing a second a day so grand for a 54 year old watch.

Unfortunately the chap I was talking about retired only six months ago.

I’m starting to wonder if I’m the old fella. Are we alloldlads?

Sent my Seamaster to Luxury watch repairs in London, they then sent it to Omega to get serviced & repaired, apparently needed a new bridge, whatever that is. The bill came in less than local Omega dealer (Golsmiths) quoted to send to Omega for a service.

Sending goods to the UK for repair since "that which shall not be mentioned"........is now a cluster fuck for us Paddy's
