has anyone tried any or can anyone recomend any others, i do wear ear plugs so the in the ear type wouldnt do.

I have some - they are rubbish.

I now use Shure EC in ear phones. Just like plugs for quiet, but you get the sound too - and chaper than custom fit ones - they are excellent. Well worth the money.

In my round town helmet I have some Sony speakers that used to be those walkman clip-over-the-ears type ones - just took the clips off and fixed them in with velcro - far better than the bass monsters.

I was dissapointed with my Intaride Evo speaker quality so I swapped one headset's speakers and soldered in a spare pair of Autocom's I had lying around which improved it a bit.

With the other headset, I cut off the Intaride speakers and soldered in a 3.5mm stereo socket into which I can plug my Etymotic ER6i ear buds, which are really good quality and double as ear plugs too so you dont need loads of volume going to waste.

Very easy mod to do - even with my appalling soldering skills!
