leak in final drive

HI lads,

My 2004 1200GS looks like its leaking oil from the final drive axel. I went for a 100 mile spin and saw that there was splashes of oil on my back tyre. Any advice?

Is there any play in the wheel? You can check it by putting the bike on the centre stand and try to rock from top to bottom and from left to right. If you've no play in the wheel, there's a good chance it's just the seal which is a pretty quick and cheap job at a dealer.

Time for a visit to the dealer to get it checked. :thumb2
