Hi all, for those who do not know I made a pillion seat rack to fit my 2006 R1200GS - this was all fine and dandy until some fellow Tossers wanted them for their more recent GS`s and the bugger would`nt fit :nenau
Little did I know (oh ye (me) of little intelligence, but I do my best!) but those tricky German Chappies had changed the rear pillion seat detail on recent models from 6 fasteners to only 4 :blast
So, a fine chap from Oz (of all places - could not get further away eh? :blast) ordered one to fit his recent R1200GS...........
Anyway, to cut a long story short and because I took out an insurance policy by way of selling my soul to the devil (to make it fit, eh? :thumb) I made one which I thought would fit (dangerous..... don`t forget I am mostly clueless or drunk :beerjug:) and, well, bugger me sideways and spank me till I am rosy red but the bugger fitted! :bounce1 :clap :JB
Here are the images showing moody pre-fit, fitted and rear post detail (showing the rear location points and how it fits around the GS OEM rack stem)
Once again, another piece of art :drool from the loins of Messer Hooton :hug and, apparently, it also has a practical use! Woohoo!
(good job I can laugh at myself, eh?)
But seriously, it`s built well, seems to fit very well and is for sale if anyone wants one. Personally, I prefer the extended one I do as it can carry more but does not look as good as this puppy.

P.S. I am thinking of designing an extendable rack to fit the OEM GS rack - I think Touratw*t do one eight times as expensive as what mine would be and made with no love & care whatsoever, anyone interested?
