View Full Version : Daytona boots
Louis (www.louis.de) in Germany have Daytona Road-Star GTX boots on offer at the moment. 161 euros including delivery to the UK, which is around 113 quid. At that price I decided to order a pair. I've seen them at twice the price over here, although Fowlers in Bristol had a few small sizes at £130 when I went in this morning.

Good price....might have a pair myself, rather than having the other pair refurbished.
Cheers for the tip - just bought some. That site did my head in translating through google! Please don't tell me know there is an "English" button somewhere!....
"Their order arrived with the Detlev Louis GmbH. If you indicated your E-Mail address, receive shortly an order acknowledgement of receipt by E-Mail"
Time to go out and celebrate my purchase!
At this price - a great deal!
How do they fit for size - I mean, is a size 43 a proper 43 fit? or are they under-sized or over-sized?
You know what I mean!
Cheers,
Neil.

Seemed pretty painless when I ordered some gear just before Christmas. I managed to wend my way through the ordering process, despite not being able to input all of my postcode! Goods were despatched on the Tuesday before Christmas and arrived on Christmas eve. Excellent service and faster than the Royal Mail who managed to take 10 days to deliver a card 10 miles! Brilliant also when you consider that they only charge 11 euros for delivery!

I ambled into Fowlers in Bristol this morning to see if they could match the deal. They couldn't, but I tried on a couple of different Daytona boot types. I felt comfortable with size 46, which is what my Zamberlan walking boots (leather) are. So I'd guess they are "about right"! If you are unsure I'd see if I could try some locally - you never know they might match the deal. Better to buy slightly larger - you can always add socks!
