Question, how much should an 1150 gs drink in engine oil cos mine has gone through 3 ltrs in 4.5 k from new .Is this the norm :confused:

It's not that unusual...they don't get properly worn in until about 18k miles so from there on it should use a lot less.

Leaving it on the side stand will affect it a great deal as well...you'll probably notice the 'zorst fumes on starting will be blue with oil...Always eave it on the Centre stand if you can :thumb

Although mines always on the centre stand it has always burnt 3-5ltrs per 5000miles. Now, at around 27000 it's down to 1-2ltrs per 5000miles.
