Cafes, coffee stops and favourite greasy spoons in the East Midlands

Decent cafe a couple of doors down from Hein Gericke, Lincoln (next to kwik fit). Good, honest grub :thumb2

Near Willingham woods, Market Rasen. Coming from market rasen, go past willingham woods and about 1 mile on left just as you enter village - great little cafe!!
Decent food, coffee served in proper cups, loads of outdoor seating and some great views :thumb2

Willingham woods, though good for meeting other riders, serves crap coffee/tea and overpriced mediocre food - maybe they think bikers can't tell the difference :nenau

Come on guys - any other decent eateries in our area?
What about Derbyshire? :D

Paid a visit there yesterday, freezing cold, really looking forward to a brew.... but it was CLOSED and looked as though it had been for some time, no furniture inside but all the signs are still up. Web site shows it is up for sale... One to watch in case it re-opens

"2-10 Cafe" 210 Narborough Road, Leicester

Visitied today. Confirmed it is still excellent food and good value, a relief as it was even colder today than yesterday! Shop front not that appealing or easy to spot, but it is much more attractive inside and is easily found if you look for it under the railway bridge. Bike parking in easy view from your table as it is directly outside the shop (free for 60 mins) :)

Full English breakfast - £3.99 - or the Large, Tosser sized one for a quid more :D

Watch out on a Sat/Sunday morning though - as all the Dayglo gear from the AIM/RoSPA boys on their training 'breaks' nearly blinds you as you walk in !

Trudys Woodside

Just off the roudabout on the A614 (A614 meets A616 at Ollerton), good cafe.

Byard's Leap Tea rooms near Cranwell Lincs.

Byard's Leap is a really nice cafe for breakfast or lunch. It's on the B6403 which runs North from Ancaster toward the A17 almost at its junction with the A17.

Everyting from a bacon bap to a full English (never had lunch there but I think they serve Sunday roasts). It's on a sealed stub of Ermine Street just off the A17 near Cranwell. Often see motorcyclists and car enthusiasts there.

Good roads around if a bit flat!

Our route from Leicester generally goes from Leicester to Melton to Colsterworth then across the A1 to Bourne then along the A15 toward Sleaford and then Along the A17 to Cranwell.

The Bacon Roll - Pelham Bridge (Tesco's end), Lincoln Open till about 2ish mon-sat
Great bacon!!!

+1.
Thoroughly recommend the 'Rich mans' roll. Mug of tea or coffee, 2 x bacon, 2 x sausages, egg & mushrooms all wrapped up in a low fat, isotonic bread roll (not the tea or coffee, obviously). £3.50, Bob's your uncle.
