640 adventure

My reinforcement continues from the rails to the down tube a few inches, blue Loctite the top and bottom bolts!

The output shaft has a seal plus an O ring, the O ring incidentally can be used in the clutch slave at a push when stuck ;)

Yes start another thread, that would be great, well I'm interested anyway :D

Mine's in bits again, getting more thoughts into it

Damn you all!
I've been quite happy with my 06' CCM644DS this past couple of years but I'm strangely drawn to this 'orange' glow...

The CCM will see me through winter but I think it's time to move towards the orange side and a 640 Adventure would certainly fit the bill :D

Post number 666...it's an Omen :green gri

Still going strong!
I'm revalving the forks and waiting for new shims to arrive.

Meanwhile, new O ring on the FCR carb and pump squirt set :)

How do you recommend setting the pump squirt, please Tim ?

It's probably easier to explain by watching this video, just make sure the squirt lasts around a second and importantly starts immediately after the slide lifts and doesn't hit the slide.

Mine's always had the O ring mod for a more instantaneous squirt, I just replace them from time to time :thumb

I'm also going to try it with the TPS disconnected.

This winter's improvements....so far.

Complete overhaul of the forks and revalved them myself, just waiting to test them properly.

To help with performance and long term reliability with using a FCR carb I managed to find a rare full big bore Akra exhaust which sounds awesome and I've just fitted today a CDI from a KTM 625 sxc.

Took it down the road for a test but the road was too wet to crack the throttle properly but it flies!
Plus it's even smoother :bounce1

It's that time of year...again!
