Symmons Plains Raceway in Tasmania. During our 16,000 mile lap of Australia we came across a track day. What better way to celebrate my bike getting to 100,000 miles. (Bought new by me). Leathers not required!
I did have to remove the Top Box and Panniers though.:(

My, new to me F650GS SE.

Only had it about 10 days and I absolutely love it.

Light (compared to my (RT), nimble, comfortable and nippy enough.

And it’s done less that 6000 miles.

Dick , timewarp bike. I loved my 650 I only swapped it for a 700gs as I could get a low chassis. It might be worth fitting a headlight protector. When I bought mine the previous owner had just stumped up £240 due to a stone chip. Bmw only sell the complete unit. Ebay does have them every now and then but again £140 ish. Protection starts at £15 upto £45 or less than a tenner if you did as I did and made my own makrolon cover.

Upgraded again to one of the last Rotax engined F series twin...

Luv it.. :thumb

Thanks for that Steve, I’ll look into making a guard,, what thickness Makrolon did you use,
2.5-3mm?

Just dug out a small runt piece, it was 2.5mm I glued it to the headlight using double sided sticky pads. The rugged roads one I have on the F700 are supported from the two torks screws on the headlight bracket. If I was starting now I wouldn't use sticky pads as they went a bit mouldy ( on for over 3 or 4 years) also more importantly it places the Macralon only 5/8 mm or so from the lens. No issue in the winter but with the headlight being always on , in mid summer the cover used to warm up.

If you fabricate your own I would go for a 15mm gap which is the same as my current F700.

The F650's had a habit of scorching the top of the reflector when using Halogen bulbs , so just keep an eye on that. I fitted a HID from Les of this parish and from then on it ran cooler.

F700 Rallye ? if so mine says hello, bought two years ago and not been used as much as I would like this year.

.... and long may it be so :D

:beerjug:

Guilty as charged Mlud..... ;)

Although this one is the best so far. :augie
Because -
1 - ride by wire throttle is much better 4 me.
2 - low chassis - - - - - - - -" - - " - -" - - " - - " -
3 - the addition of Clicktronic gear change is superb..
4 - twin front brakes over the 650's single is also much better..
5 - Cyclops LED headlight bulbs transform night riding.
The list goes on.... :blast

:D

My 2018 F800GSA which I really like. I use it a lot for work and it spends a lot of time sitting on teh back of a truck which I've sold.

As long as the customer has somewhere I can take it off, I'll deliver the truck and ride home.

I had one for Malta last week which was shipping from Genoa in Italy. If it wasn't for the 2 week quarantine I'd of had to do, I would have driven down and ridden home.
