I thought this may be a good thread to start so we dont all start planning to carry EVERYTHING individually and also to give some idea of the expertise within the group.
I have a decent ammount of knowledge of medical issues in particular trauma ie cuts and breaks. I am also in a position to source a half decent med pack with pills, potions, lotions and plasters with a view to covering small issues to dealing with a major off.
The kit would have to be split down into 2 parts and i would have to ask one of you chaps with all them lovely boxes on a big bike to carry a bandage/field dressing bag (approx 20cm x 15 cm x 8 cm). it can be squashed together and would fit into a smaller space than this.
I have also been lucky enough to live in the desert for about a year with nothing but a sleeping bag and a knife for survival so if we end up living out for a while i am confident i can read sand conditions and deal with the local wildlife.
I know Rich has a fair bit to deal with planning the route etc but i was wondering if there are any compenant mechanics, foreign linguists or off roading gurus amongst us?
Dont be shy, tell us what you are good at
