Hi guy's

Morning...

OK, here goes...we've just produced our first video review of the Companero suit and filmed it inside the walls of the Angkor Wat Temples here in Cambodia. We set up at around 5:30am and started filming at sun-up. It was so bloody hot and under the canopy of trees the humidity built up quickly.

I have to admit, that if the review sounds overly positive, well...it is! It's early days and time will tell if the suit in the long term is as good as it appears to be at the moment, but in terms of fit and rider comfort this is the best suit we've worn. It feels very different and less cumbersome than all of our previous suits and when you're in a suit for 8-hours plus a day, that's a big deal. I don't miss constantly having to pull up the pants on my old rally suit or feeling like a sack of potatoes with all the extra material around the waist because of the jacket cut and design.

Bear in mind this was all done pre-coffee in the morning.

Anyway hope you enjoy the video, the location was stunning. As always comments and piss-taking are welcome

Let us know what you think.

No animals or children were harmed in the making of this film.:comfort

Bit Pricey !!

Great review guys and extremely jealous of the location........however at nearly £2K for the jacket and trousers IMHO Touratech are overpricing it.

2 Grand - is that true

Akito Desert suit. Throw away the liners and get a goretex rain jacket and trousers circa £300 the lot.

These are also fashion items and the styling will date quite quickly. Your £2K suit won't be worth £200 in a year or so. BMW did well to offer the twat suit when they did and rightly capitalised on its success. But when Klim and now Touratech start offering suits over £2k at a time when people are tightening their belts and there are so many more cheaper and worthy alternatives on the market I feel they have missed the boat.

Fools and their money will always be parted but most people can't justify these costs and rightly so. :rob

Two Thousand Pounds........

Eight years on the road seems to have distanced you both from reality, who's going to pay that kind of money for a summer bike suit apart from the idle rich?

:D:D:D lol +1

that is pretty obscene really , for the rich or sponsored only:rolleyes:

£2k and they want you to stop and put something else on over it if it rains, thought I was in the joke section :jes:jes:jes

I'd want it to be mega breathable and waterproof for that much :blast

Good video, and beautiful location.

Very lucky/wealthy if that's what you do for a living...:D

£2k for a suit tho...you'd want it to be an all in one specialist suit with NASA style materials, rather than having to stop & add bits to it.

I'm assuming the glowing review has nothing to do with being sponsored by Touratwat either, but 2 k for a suit is way over top, u could always buy direct from Stadler and save a few quid if they will sell direct

I have a rally 2 suit , good but getting on a bit , agree with aberdeenangus on this one , i have some Rab event bergen trouser full length close out zips and a gore biker jacket both used as waterproof outer layer - cost 200 quid and used with the rally 2 and my new Difi ventura ax jacket , £79.99 and trousers £59.99 both superb, both heavily discounted though, i have replaced all the armour with Forcefield armour at a cost of £70.00 so i have a 3 season suit for £410.00 , never understood the waterproof layer on textiles being on the inside as a zip in layer , textiles act as a sponge an are damm heavy when wet.
But some people have to have the latest bling, but i'd prefer to have practical kit , cost effective and that does the job , and use the money saved for trips and fuel :)

£1500 from Touratech Germany.. be worth the drive almost if you can afford that sort of money in the first place

FFS I'd want a suit that can ride the bike for me for £2000, so I can sit on the back and take pictures.

I wager that it's made in China for 20 quid anyway, the same as almost every other suit you can buy.

Has it got a lifetime warranty with it for that, ie as long as someone is wearing it, because they need some way to justify that obscene price.

Touratech Suit......!

Got the newsletter from Touratech Germany a few months ago and was very interested in the Companero.......untill I saw the price!

I'll be getting my next biking gear at good old Hein Gericke.

What i'd really like is a textile suit that is waterproof on the 'outside', breathable and doesn't cost a fortune.

FP.

nice.....:augie

guess I'll be in my combat jacket and body armour... and will spend the left over on beer and cake on the trip....
