oh c'mon!
you GOT to show us the rest of that Bike!
Oh alright then
In the beginning...
under the bodywork she wasn't too pretty and so a full resto was out of the question. The Patio Project had begun!
An initial mock up for ideas, especially as I had bagged a bargain with the Guzzi 1100 Sport upswept Lafranconis!
Remove unwanted brackets etc...
lower the seat rails and use part of an old grab rail for a seat back pad and reposition upper shock mounts.
Having a spare set of USD YZ250 forks it seemed a good idea at the time to do another mock up. I took Guzmode off to a local place for frame mods, including a raked headstock, but after they lied to me that they had started on my bike, only for me to turn up
to see what I could see...that they hadn't even moved it from where I parked it, I took the bike back home and scrapped the USD fork idea.
Back to the original forks plus HD tank...
Manufacture a clutch installation tool and fit new clutch...
Front brake splitter for conventional brake set up.
Battery box , exhaust protector (sidestand) and Land Rover Discovery horn...
Spaghetti time and heaps of wiring removed...
Somewhere to hide some wiring...
Remounting modified foot boards before removing them again...
and replacing with these...
HD brake and clutch levers...
Decided I wasn't happy with the Beachbars , the battery box , the gloss black,
...and so my old favourite Satin Black found a new home.
Guzmode was always an ongoing project and still wasn't finished even when I sold ol' girl.
