I need help.
Well, I’ve been a BMW fan for about as long as I can remember.
I currently own an R100S, R80 GS, K75 RT, all bought from this site over the last few years. I also have a project Funduro.
I removed the fairing from this to find a loose connection when it was my only bike, then I started to buy more and so it still waits to be reassembled. I can’t even remember what the original fault was!
About three or four years ago, I bought my first Guzzi, a 1995 Cali. with 5K on the clock. I’ve had a lot of niggling little things go wrong and twice it’s let me down when setting off on a run, both times just outside our Cottage Hospital. Luckily it was only only about a mile from home. The camber is really steep though and it’s a very hard push. Now, finally running really well.
Two years or so ago I bought a Nuovo Falcone. Slow but great fun. Again, I’ve had a fair bit of bother and again now running really well.
Thing is these Guzzis are the only bikes I ride now and I enjoy them immensely. I’m now thinking of selling the BM’s and maybe getting an Ambassador or other, older twin. Maybe even an older single.
I’m knocking on a bit now so won’t be able to replace them.
Anybody else been in the same situation?
