It's not always been plain sailing though.

Had to rebuild the engine - crank up - last summer. This is what I found in the crank slingers - the remains of the back crankshaft bearing cage:



Needed to get the whole thing apart:





Looks a bit better now:

 
I'm uploading the pics I just took of the one we're building here in the shed now, but (and please excuse the slight temporary OT here) we were seriously looking at this today, as a donor cage for a possible off-road tub, plus loads of suspension parts that might be useful :nenau

Out in North Wales today when I stopped for the proverbal flask and butties pit stop ( nice to have a boot :) ) .....middle of knowhere and a guy comes over to take my photo:confused: Asked him to take one of me...and he 'hits the deck' to get the "right angle" :eek

Top bloke ( it's why I am smiling...couldn't stop laughing ) :thumb2
