Just finished two tough, long days on the Welsh lanes and I'm knackered

But the recent weather's taken it's toll on the livestock and the full impact will only be know when it really starts to thaw.

Barns are full of ewes and lambs but many of the shelters have collapsed due to the weight of the snow.

We heard tales of farmers distraught and in tears.

Huge losses here too Tim in the Mournes and also up in the Glens of Antrim and the Sperrins. Tough times for farming people.

Very sad for the poor farmers, not nice to see such things especially in 2013. :(

Only someone who could club a baby ikkle seal with an ice pick could ever come up with a lame excuse about the weather to try and get away with running over these poor likkle lambsies on his big gnarly trail bike :tears

Hang your head in shame, Mr Lambslayer :rob

How many of us really know what it's like to be a farmer? The discussion tends to get lost in the fantasy of EU subsidies etc. This is more like the reality of being a farmer.
