C'mon lads, this is the best side stand puck you can get for the GS

To stop it corroding from trapped road salt, smear the stand foot with copper grease before fitting the puck.

If anybody in the Worcester area has a 1200LC i could borrow the side stand off for a couple of weeks
for exchange for a free one i could look into making some for the LC :thumby:

Garry, you probably need to update the first post, the pictures aren't showing .... not for me anyway!

The plastic puck gets chewed by tarmac (obviously). How about adding a 3mm aluminium plate to the underside with countersunk screws that go right through and dome nuts on top. Just an idea but I think it would work nicely.

To be honest I did 30k on my 1200 and the plastic part was still almost unworn
I have a mate who has done over 50k still fine
So unless you are in the habit of dragging the side stand along the floor all the time it won't be a issue
The plastic art is not machined out of crap It's durable
Unfortunately I can't edit the first post
That's why I added some more pics not long ago

I have seen many (and used a few) side stand enlargers.
This is the best I have come across thus far.

IMHO

No complaints from me it's great.

Maybe my stand has a funny angle but its rubbed up the bottom edge after only a couple of week's use. Of course, it's not going the wear out, I'm just surprised to see the edge looking frayed. I always thought my bike leaned a lot on the side stand right from when I took it on.

I still have one left and the original master one so that's 2 ;)
There won't be any more so PM me if you would like one of these :thumb

That’s a shame it’s well made and easy to fit. Certainly a lot better than the (tbh pointless) cameltoe stand enlarger plates.
