Well I got me cases back couple months ago and was waiting for a crank and rods to come along.thanks to James sherlocks they did..

Then got me bolts back yesterday..

Finished of front today then started on the heads and barrels..

Then the heads in the acid for stripping the powdercoat of..

Which acid did you use and are you going to get them re-powder coated or paint them?
 
Matt.i used methylene chloride for the striping..going to paint heads and barrels.

Got them all replated had about 2 engines worth of bolts so they did the lot..got more to do when I'll get round to swapping out engine.
 
Painted barrels and heads today.. Not sure if I like the alloy effect paint..

I think that looks great:thumby: Black cylinder head covers and maybe a set of yellow HT leads would give it that 'special' look. Black everything else would look good. Keep us posted:)
 
Was thinking black rocker covers.was going to give one a quick spray and have a look..think Chad has black rocker covers..

It does look like you have done a crackin job, well done, was going to ask if you could help me replace my clutch..................but never mind... I can see you have your hands full..:D

You wouldn't happen to have any photos showing how much of the liquid sealant you used to seal the two half's ?

No pics I'm afraid, it wasn't a lot! just a thin bead of high temp sealant in black around one case.
