DrAlf’s Spirited Whales Ride – Easter 2014.

Colin's Border blast may well have a small group, as a lot went on Mort's bimble last year.....

If the sun is shining in the borders it'll be an awesome ride-out

I was sceptical last year as there were at least a dozen bikes, but everyone knew what to do and it worked.

:friday

If I'm honest, when I read that there were 14 bikes, I wasn't looking forward to it, as we did a trial run in September with 6 bikes, which was perfect. In reality, there were no issues at all with 14 bikes, apart from one rider got lost 3 times. I'd love to say he was riding an 1150, but alas, he was on an LC!:blast:p

I saw you on your practice run in sept, there were only 3 of you?

A forum of 1000's...Bikes so looked after and only a small minority actually get out there and ride them. A group of 14 or whatever...Bet you never done the big bike runs to Brighton, Blackpool or such like then? Pity. It was bloody great to meet other riders, socialise and have a banter. It would have been boring if it were twee! I use my bike and have a laugh and partly why I ride with others when opportunity arises. Thanks for not coming and keeping the group small....:beerjug:

We're all Gods children and look for different things in life :)

I love socialising with other people (bikers or not) and really enjoy meeting peepes off the forum at the likes of bakermans Hogroast or whatever. And to that end would love to come up North and meet the likes of Micky, that wanker Kelly etc etc ... :D

But riding??? Ahhh C'mon! do I want to sit in a group of 15 odd bikes, all spread out in a line .... ?? No - it's just not my scene. I can count on one hand (in thirty years of riding) the number of people I enjoy a (proper) bike ride with. (And Bouncer ain't one of them ... :D)

You should witness a Gnarly Le Hog weekend, it's fuckwittery at it's finest..... 12 opinions, no system and a leave them behind if they fail policy.... Generally works, especially if you break down at the house....

That'll be the 'Do what the fuck you like system – drop off, fall off, please your bloody self system'.

Sounds fantastic. Dr Alf is helping me plan a similar jaunt in June. Adam, I tried to reply to your message but you've exceeded your message quota.
