Powder coating from a wheel refurb specialist.

Is this product or operator error due to preparation ? Reason I ask, some alloys I had done by a Burton company (wheel refurb specialists) have now done 112k, I had these refurb at 3k because corrosion had started under the lacquer (diamond cut) so had the whole area covered 'powder coated' and they are still mint, showing no corrosion .

screwfix dross

any own brand liquids inc window cleaner, degreaser, brick n path cleaner, pvc cleaner etc ect
all absolutely fecking useless.

Of course I’m generalising but twice now the wheel specialists have not delivered. I was probably spoiled by Chris Ward’s (CJ WARD) work but it seems preparation is all and then some.
Steel needs at least a zinc passivate. Aluminium? who knows? Chris did a really scabby Yamaha rocker cover it last 2 years and coped with air cooled engine heat. BMW alloy parts done by wheel specialists have failed in all the original places.

Nice and soft and easy to lay. Lovely to kneel on whilst you're working on your bike.

But after a year, some of the tiles have grown in size due to traffic squashing them out. Now the whole floor is rucked up and I'm constantly trying to avoid tripping over. They are soon to be consigned to the dump!

FWIW, Costco sell an identical tile for half the money. I'd avoid those too!

Bugger i measured floor and was making up a order for these. Mmmmmm re -think. Ta for info.

Anything RST I had two sets of boots (admittedly they were cheap) but the soles wore out within 6 months, also had RST gloves which started splitting after a few weeks.

Anything from Triumph . Usually utter shite suspension that should have been sorted in the factory and not left to the punter.

Not what I want to read after ordering some RST pro adventure 3 trousers. Although to be fair my RST jeans which cost 50 quid are going strong after 4 years. Maybe they're hit and miss but RST seems like really good value for money compared to a lot of the other brands.

Yeah the boots were really comfy and waterproof but the soles were rubbish, as for the gloves well they just fell apart.
I have avoided RST stuff since but hope you fair better with the pro adventure 3 trousers :thumb2

All-in-one waterproof over suits. I have not had one that didn't leak over the leg where that daft diagonal zip goes down to your knee.**

Leggings with trouser leg gussets that always get trapped in the zip slider and leave you hopping about in the rain trying to untangle the pissing things.

Why the F do they all do that?

Trouble is two piece suits generally leave me with a wet belly where water has blown up wards behind the petrol tank.

Try the BMW all in one rain suit mine has never leaked, the only downside is it's bright yellow and the wearer looks like banana man. :D

Shark helmets. Evoline visor jamed down. Carbon r with the big opening lining fraying after 2 months. S 800 built down to a price. Yes it was cheap but so are ls2 which is better. JJH

Any 'own brand' cordless tools especially anything with a Sealey badge on it.................fairly expensive impact gun went through 6 batteries and 3 chargers in 3 years (binned the lot in the end) the Sealey 4 1/2" mains angle grinder snapped its output shaft the first time it was used .

Any power tools from Machine Mart with a Clarke name badge on it , self destructing angle grinders, radom orbital sander and electric power file.

As for cordless drills have tried the lot from Bosch through DeWalt before eventually discovering that Makita ones actually work well and continue to function for years and years (touch wood)

For tools I like McAllister from B&Q. Strike the right balance of price and durability. What’s the point of having a 500 dollar drill for occasional diy work. Now tools from Argos pure shite. JJH
