red dots

I know this is very basic however advice appreciated.
I have just had a new front tyre fitted to my 1200rt. I removed the wheel and took it to a highly recommended garage locally.
I always thought that the two red dots on Metzeler tyres were supposed to line up with the valve? The garage, assures me that's not necessary? :confused:

Your right, they should, though I guess if the wheel was balanced correctly after fitting it doesn't matter, will just have heavier weights on.

Then look smug and make them do it again.

Then tell them to fuck off and don't use them any more

Useful information. Interesting it says dont inflate tyres over 2.8 bar for safety. BMW say 2.9 bar for fully loaded GS :confused:
