Well I retired from riding
Sold all my kit
hung up my boots & Hat
Then .........................................
Tripped over this as a non runner last started in 2011
Yes the Frame/ Forks/engine & gearbox are Indian
The rest is all from Hitchcocks in Balsall Common UK
Café Racer 350
All show and No go (at the moment) :thumb2

I'm about to buy shares in Autosol again

One to do up over the winter and sell on in the spring

But Pretty Pretty classic lines oh and it leaks oil on the floor ;)

So little to do & so much time ! lol

Very nice!

Cheers
I "retired" from road riding and just decided to buy a little Montesa Cota to use in the woods at the rear of my cottage................

Now I've sorted the "Monty" but love the look of the "Bullet"

Dooh;)

decisions decisions

You gotta love this retirement lark

So do I sell the Monty and keep the Bullet ?

Ahh All winter to decide:rolleyes:

i should offload the indian enfield and play on the trials bike.
would seem like a lot more fun.
i have a customers 350 sherpa in the workshop, stripped to bare frame.
which is now powder coated waiting for a well stuffed envelope of cash to do the motor and rebuild.
A4 needed methinks:eek::comfort

Your prob right
I've had three Bultacos in my time & loved everything except the stupid kick start on the wrong side
I've given up road riding and sold all my kit
But continue my hobby of restoration

aha project bultaco:thumb
it wants building, not sat on a shelf in my wkshp, the fella that owns it has loadsa money but a short attention span:blast
i would have it myself but not a goer for me at the moment.
i will have a word with the owner cos his latest "interest " has fucking deep pockets(sponsering irish/IOM racing:blast:blast:thumby:)

Unless its a radial head (late 1960's) model ala Sammy Milller they really aren't worth any more than the Montesa

The Monty is the better bike if only because of the kick start position.

( I broke my left leg many years ago and left foot K/S is a no no for me!)

:blast

Apart from the non-runner aspect that looks like a weekend project rather than a winter one:)

Did it quit big time in '11 or it just won't start because the fuel is ancient and turned to jelly?

Clutch cable to handlebar lever looks like it needs some attention.

It was taken in lieu of a debt by a non biker in 2011 who started it a few times
But left it in the back of his garage to gather dust
I tripped over it by word of mouth and decided it was worth a punt

I have had it running roughly BUT it was the crap petrol at fault
idle jet bunged up with filigree green crap
Crap petrol ( you should smell it )
Dead Battery

I've just taken delivery of the service kit and new battery ( under £40 off e blag)
I guess it will be running by the weekend
MOT as and when I get a good day
It will have to be trailered as its SORN

I guess I'll sort it and sell it back on in the spring of 2015
Us pensioners have gotta do something to pay the winter fuel bills ehh ;)

I wouldn't know, I'm still a worker. I thought that the gubbmint gave you oldies wads of cash for fuel every winter. Put a trials chair on the Monty and you can collect firewood for free as you trundle through the local woodlands.:thumb

I'm "Not" THAT old a pensioner ! lol ;)

Coming along, it realy is a good looking bike. The right fork stanchion looks as though it needs some love.

Yes and the left one.
Those YELLOW springs need sorting too ( I think Black is the cheap way forward)
New Battery fitted fresh fuel and Thump thump thump thump sorted the tickover
Just a proper service with fresh oil/ filter/ plug
Air in the tyres, a couple of bulbs to change and a nice new rear number plate and it will be MOT ready................
Oh and a lot more polish
