bsa starfire anybody had one ?

exactly i think with a little care and attention and mantinence most things could be reliable

All British bikes were crap back then, a 30bhp Starfire ridden by a 17 year old was never going to be a good idea! Ride it sensibly, look after it and you'll a cool little bike that will increase in value year on year :thumb This is the later Triumph version but they were all built by BSA anyway. (video contains swearing)

i think it may be a triumph daytona 500 one of the best looking bikes around

had a 1969 one of them. cool bike. vibration was a killer but not unusual in them days. Amal MK.1 concentric carbs. did my head in somewhat but hey it went well and looked good.

Scary looking mob , was you the leader? I'm a leader ! I'm a leader ! I'm a leader of a gang I am.....:D

Quality turn ups :clap:clap:clap

What about a Ducati single or 350 morini ?

i bought my C15 posted on here elswhere last year. I believe you have to look at reliability through the lens of the learner 250 market. In the 60's and early 70's these bikes were screwed to within an inch of their lives by a succesion of owners with scant regard for servicing and lubrication.
Mine has been rebuilt by SRM so im hoping for improved reliability as It will be ridden sympathetically.

Starfire

If I were you…….:rob

…..I'd find a 441 Victor and run that instead. A good big 'un is always better than a good little 'un.

I ran a 69 Cheyne Victor for a few years. Very satisfying…when it ran.

That's it on my avatar. Along with me and a dislocated shoulder:blast. Don't ask!

Fluff.
