Ten Best Mediterranean Riding Roads by Tamar Meditarranean Tours

Hello FBF

Forgive me if I am going about this the wrong way, but I just signed up on here and am not sure of the ettiquette.
I note that you have experience of riding in Israel and I wonder if I could seek your wisdom and experience?
I am planning on a solo trip to Israel this September and was thinking to ride down to Southern Greece and get on a freighter which can drop me in Haifa.
Was going to attempt to ride down the Adriatic Coast but dont seem to be able to get a Green Card for Albania.
Do you know of a decent route to use that can get me down to Athens?
Secondly, is there an insurance company you might know of specialising in Adventure Bike Travel Insurance to cover things like medical and legal expenses, theft of kit, money, passport
and all that kind of thing?
Finally I would welcome any advice hints or tips you might have with regard to roads in Israel and places to go/see. I am planning to take a tent and do part camping, part kibbutz, part hotel.
Any wise advice would be very, very welcome
Many thanks
from Simon

Hello FBF

Simon, I'm planning to ride into Albania this September - I was thinking it would be simple. What do you mean by not being able to get a Green Card?
If u don't want to go thru Albania, or can't, why not just go around?
Probably the simplest fastest cheapest route to Greece is a ferry from Brindisi to Corfu.

Green Card - sorry, been years since I lived in the UK. Just remembered. Lucky I saw your post - I've got French insurance and haven't got a clue what they do about a Green Card but I'll be checking that now. So thanks!

Simon, I just found a post thats a good place to start your research. Seems Albania is not a problem in the sense you will be able to buy a Green card at the border but of course your bike will not be insured for theft and accident, just 3rd party. Sorry if this is repeating something you already know. It's actually all news to me, having not lived in the UK or Europe for quite a few years.
