Sluggish starting? Might not be the battery ...

Looks nice but ..

There's Carbon Fibre, and there's Carbon fibre!

Whilst it may look the mutt's nutt's, Its totally impractical.

True Carbon Fibre parts are expensive, you need a propper mould and autoclaving techniques for it to work.

It's also very rigid. Given theres sod all room in that area, and from experiance you have to flex the cover to get it on / off, this puppy will either

Not bend- or flex because its super rigid or if it flexes it will more than likley crack and allow water into the weave.

Not knocking you for finding it Bendy, but i'd stay clear. (I worked with composites for some years, there's good and there's lets say not so good ;) )

Like yo,u I like the look of carbon, but its not especially practical and the weight saving over the OEM plastic parts is trivial.

I have a carbon fender extender on the front that cost about £20 and its been amazing. Still there after five winters and it really is genuine carbon fibre.

Regards starter motor covers, I personally think the bike looks better with the motor on show. It's styled as a utilitarian bike so bling parts can just look wrong.
