I like it! Is there some special mount that attaches the case to the bike?

I used the Wunderlich plate that replaces the pillion seat, so it's easy to remove. The carrier is two pieces so I removed the top plate and fixed the Pelican case (IM2100) directly to the lower section that clips onto the pillion seat fixings.

I'm just back from 3 days off roading across Andalusia and if you take a big hit on the bike the front pin on the plate can become unsettled from the seat fixing. It still won't come off the bike and doesn't happen with road use.

220km, in one day, off road was hard work! But what a capable machine!! :thumby:

Great picture and stunning location - you are making me jealous Dave. I want to get out on my bike, but it's been raining and windy, plus it's now getting cold here! Having been to Northern Spain, both East and West sides on the last trip, we fancy heading further South next time, so may come and say hello! Here is a pic of the GS from the last trip, the location is in Portugal I think.

I'm about 50 minutes ride, north east of Malaga city. If you come down to these parts let me know and I'll show you around. Just avoid July and August, it's too hot to ride!

I would post a picture of mine, all dirty, but can’t upload from my iPad :blast

Just past Glenshee on the way to work in Inverness from Warrington this week, turn round and head back tomorrow

Thanks Pol. In the interim I found the two options from Cymarc, similar sort of thing but I actually prefer the one you have due to it being easy to remove - no spanners required. I like to consider the options when it comes to luggage...

Just collected my new R1200GS TE

This is my 6th GS and my 2nd LC. Previous GS was a 2013 model with 25k miles. I was due a change soon anyway and the TFT display tipped me over the edge. I've only done 100 miles so far but first impressions are very positive. Much smoother engine and gearbox, love the new display. I managed to connect it to my Sena 20S and iphone very easily although I don't use the spoken instructions from the Nav 6. Quite a few small improvements from my early model. The horn button sticks out further, so you can actually use it, the silly clear spoiler behind the main screen has been replaced by a simpler black plastic part and you can now have the auxiliary lights on with the daytime running lights. Very pleased so far.

New Boots and Shiny...

Got mine back from puncture repair while I was away for the weekend...

Had it valeted and ACF treated at the same time.

Scorpion STR's looking good - TI headers blueing nicely.

Is that a standard colour?

No, I had it resprayed by the dealer before collecting it. It's Atacama Yellow, which is a genuine BMW colour they used on a limited edition Z4 a few years back. The standard colour choices are pretty boring and I fancied something more interesting. Yellow used to be a GS option many years ago.
