Taffy Dakar 2016 is nearly here

Booking will open at 00:01 January 1st
There will be a maximum of 250 spaces
Last year we had 163 and a reserve of 60 in the first 3 days so get in early.
The price has gone up slightly

This is all for charity, last year we donated £1000 to blood bike Wales

This is for Adventure and trail bikes only, strictly no enduro or mx bikes

Can recommend this, last year was great fun albeit as damp as expected - Giles did a ride report which is worth a read. Ive changed from an XChallenge to a big tanked G450X so assume I'm barred Jase?

I was quite intrigued by Giles' report and rather fancied doing this in 2016.....until I found out that my KTM was on the 'not permitted' list :tears

I bought the EXC specifically for events like this so that I can extend the life of my GS for road trips only; with regret one doesn't have the dough to repair the GS if one throws it down the road

I'm in the same boat as Bounce. Did it last year on my Drz and had a good time. Sold it and bought an EXC so am now barred/banished. Fair enough though, I can see why they do that. Their party, their rules. Like others I have no real interest in doing it on my big bike, partly due to cost upon dropping it and partly due to the fact I know I would spend the whole day riding just cursing and wishing I was on the EXC. I think maybe the likes of the Haffren/Cambrian Rallies etc may be calling.
