Following on from Redboots' pointer towards the Touren Fahrer routes, I thought it might be handy if I lumped all the German(ish) sites I have used in the past for stealing ideas from into one place.

https://www.tourenfahrer.de/motorrad-reisen/tour-datenbank/

https://www.adac.de/reise_freizeit/motorrad/ Also known as ADAC maps

https://www.louis.de/en/fuer-die-motorradreise/tourentipps

http://kurvenkoenig.de This is a big one. With this one, click on Touren. Then click on the country, as identified by the flag. Then click on the area. Not sure which area is which? Easy... Drag your mouse over the name to highlight it. Copy the highlighted area and paste it into your browser. The chances are Google will find it and give you a map. Click on the tour you fancy; there is usually a choice of 10 or so to chose from. Want the GPS downloads? Easy again, join their forum, which is free. I don't speak German but through a bit of trial and error I got there in the end. You can't break it. Failing that, the PDF descriptions of the routes download very well. I dumped them onto my iPad, along with lots of others.

Then, for all sorts of stuff, including links on how to buy their pre-made 'fleximaps' of routes:

http://www.bikerbetten.de and http://wp.bikerbetten.de their PDF downloads are EXCELLENT:

Now some of those all important 'Von biker, fur biker' hotels:

http://www.tourenfahrer-hotels.de/home/

http://www.motorradhotels.info/index.php?L=2

http://www.mein-tourenhotel.de/motorrad-hotels_in_deutschland

The PDF downloads available from some of the sites work really well on an iPad, when loaded into iBook. From there it's easy enough to copy pieces and / or use one of the Professional' PDF apps to make some changes. Copy the amended or cut out pieces into Word / Pages / whatever and you've built yourself a trip file.

Here's a link to the source of a map posted before - it has links to various mapping software such as google maps, kml, gpx etc

You can use this 2 ways: roads to avoid on a weekend as closed (with some always closed to bikes). The other way to use it is to find places to head for on a weekday such as the road over Schaunisland south of Freiburg.
