Hi, I've recently treated myself to a Nav V and while looking for details of waypoints etc I came across this site. I think it is very useful for those without the encyclopaedic knowledge of some of the more experienced commentators upon this site. Just thought I would share it with you, if you don't need or don't like don't use it, but I like it's easy to wander through style. Its called Histories hope the cut paste and link works http://www.historvius.com

Good find, you can never have enough information about places to visit,

It is a bit lacking though. Maybe its fairly new

I was just looking to see if it had St Avold in it as its near me... Nope.
10,000 plus US soldiers buried there.
I have added it to the site (subject to approval).

I also added the "Westwall" Museum near Pirmasens.

Yes, as I said it may not suit all, I was personally displeased at the lack of information on Uzbekistan. :)

If you're in this neck of the woods, the Magiot line forts, Fort Casso, Ouvrage Simerhof and Ouvrage Schoenenbourg are worth a visit.
There's another fort at Schiesseck but its on military land and they don't like visitors:blast

That is one American cemetery I haven't visited, thanks
