Oldrat's Guzzi cafe jobbie

Wow
Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm pretty taken aback by how its been received.
The bike has been under wraps during the build and as I have said, it's a very personal bike to me, so whilst I don't need anyones approval, no one had seen it until recently and so your reactions have been incredibly humbling.

Doing a bit of a buff up today, as I've been invited by the Guzzi club to display my 'Zagato' cafe jobbie on their stand at the classic bike show in Stafford this weekend. Oooo I'm quite chuffed, imagine, lil ole me having me bike on a stand eh!

The Moto Guzzi Club GB stand is upstairs on the balcony, so if you are going to the show, pop up and say Hi.

NB Reminder to self - must buy shares in Autosol

Quick update “wireless” stop n tail light added

I’m a tad chuffed about this so I hope you don’t mind my sharing it.

Wire less stop n tail.. (Well thats what I call it)

Here is a description..
The stop n tail light is in the seat hump itself. I used to have a metre long length of cable between the light and the frame so that when I took it off, I could set the seat down on the ground. The loop of cable tucked away under the seat always struck me as pretty scruffy and unfinished. A socket connector would have worked but been too fiddly to do one handed with my seat in the other hand.
It took a lot of trial and error but my final thoughts were to try to find some sprung contacts, I initially thought of those used for lights in a car hatch back door but all I came across were huge.

Lengthy trawls of the web found tiny sprung connectors (@1 mm) as in some computers and so I set about drawing up and getting some plastic mounts fabricated with stainless steel locating pins, the margin of error was minuscule.
Hey presto, after 3 months of drawing trialling different brackets and positioning, it now works, every time.

Abracadabra, No wires betw
een the seat and frame.
