For those doing higher mileage, and preferring to carry an interim oil/filter change, between dealer servicing.
Anyone used Shell Advance 4T Ultra 10W-40 (SN/MA2) Appreciating its a 10/40 opposed to a 5/40,

I read that 'apparently' Shell don't recommend it? is this because of their agreement with BMW for the Advantec oil? or the slightly different viscosity?
