Cheers guys thanks all for the suggestions.
Not much progress on the bike. . The weather has been bearable so I have had to devote time to some other projects outside
I did get the new bearings for (what I am still calling a "swing arm") and fitted them (despite my manual saying I need special tools) it's tacked on
but it took ages to get the new gaitor in place
and the bolt pin things looked a bit tired and in need of paint so I haven't thread locked and torqued. .
Some more advice please
Before j stripped the shocker I should really have put some reference marks on the hose.i had hoped to send the shocker away for re gassing etc but I wanted to re fit it first to ensure the hose is right //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160807/3e71cf20c188e79

Does it look close?
I didn't have problems lining up the holes as such. But I needed another arm the yoke kept trying to do a guillotine impression and did this
since I now have a bit more painting I decided to pop out the oil level window
This will also need a "blow in"..
Since I am now past the stage of "penny pinching " I need new bearings for this
predictably my local bearing emporium didn't have any. .
