Hi to all in the 650 - 450 singles forum (again).
Well after 1 year of 'lording' it on an 800GSA ... it is NOT to be any more .... I was knocked off it 3 weeks ago, 5 broken ribs & one written-off bike.
So, I am going back to a 650 single ... in fact a 2012 G650 Sertao. Now a problem I have is, I loved the BMW aluminium panniers I had on the 800GSA ... BUT they will only fit the 'twins' & so I will be advertising them soon on this site. (they were new last year)
I do not like the 'vario' type panniers at all and I would much prefer some top loading Aly panniers for the 650. I've seen the Hepco stuff & GIVI outback panniers (both EXPENSIVE .... like £600+ or more for racks / panniers )
Has anyone any experience ... good or bad of using Aly panniers on the 650 ?
I notice that Motorworks do some cheap Aly boxes call Alpos; look very basic but also very low cost; fixing kits look a bit naff ?
cheers
