I don't have a problem reaching the floor on my LC even on the high setting, so I thought the high seat might straighten my knees a bit.

Lowered footpegs are good but they keep scratching on the floor....
....

Ta.

I've got the same problem but I'm settling for an airhawk for a while until I decide what to do.

May just get Tony Archer to re-build my seat higher.

Of course! I have an airbase somewhere... I'll give it a try.
Thanks
D

I have a high seat that has been Tony Archered.

Not a million miles away from you (Sandwich) if you want to swap for a short ride and see what you think.

The heated element is still working (but obviously real bikers don't use that kind of poncy thing).

The seat is for me much better on longer rides, I'd didn't like the idea of having to get a US made one on price alone, and the one maker who has a military or rank based sounding name the UK distributor was rude and arrogant and just a PIA.

IMHO Tony is one of the true craftsmen, no fancy website, or posh offices, but great customer service (just remember is is a northerner and friendly underneath that tough exterior)

Coo.. That looks big and high.
I just tried and bought a BMW "Comfort Seat" Photos enclosed.
With the bike suspension on "2 Helmets" and the Seat adjuster on HIGH and my 30 1/2" inside leg (trouser measurement).

Standard seat I can get both feet flat on the floor.

Comfort seat, the soles of both feet flat and the heels just off the floor.

Comfort wise... I'll let you know, I've only done 20 miles so far.

An old thread I know, but in case anyone reads this (!) is the comfort seat shown above a BMW optional part. I have a 2014 LC and am trying to find a more comfortable seat than the standard one. I have a 32 inch inseam and would like a little more comfort on my 'sitting bones' and a little less bend in the knees.
Thanks

YES! It's a std BMW part. £200 -ish from memory. It works fine for me. No pain.. they let me try it out before I bought it which helped me decide it wasn't too high. Do ask if they can do a deal on the price. You might get 10% or so off.
Rgds

I ordered my 2014 LC with a high seat which works great for me with a 34" inside leg/seam (6'6" tall). If I know I'm going to be doing some serious miles on the RTP (cycle races, VIP escorts etc.) I even take mine in to work. I've found I benefit from less ache in the groin!, knees and lower back.
