Needed to get a rear tkc 70 on my GSA as I travel to Morocco...decided to call Bmw at Seville and arrange for a tyre fitting whilst passing. They want 256 euro and 60 euro to fit it.....NTS here is £130 or 154 euro..... needless to say they will still have the tyre on the shelf.......

There must be an equivalent to nts in Spain. Main dealer for tyers? Not me. JJH

For €316 I'd expect front and rear fitted with enough left over for a steak dinner and a couple of pints!

Why not just buy a pair of tyres here and bungee them onto the bike ( lets face it a couple of tyres wont make any difference to the tinkers donkey) and then get them fitted in spain or even moroc

I had a Karoo 3 rear tyre fitted in Teruel by an outfit called Rodi Motor Services, similar set up to ATS, Kwik fit for 130.05 euros.
Do"nt know if they have other branches but worth remembering, got me out of the shit.

Or even fit them yourself like a real adventure rider and get some oil under your nails ;)

I admit I can't do it

I always do my own have done since my teenage motocross days now it seems its a dealer garage job for a lot of people but then a lot wont even change their own oil now.

But then we are all a bit older now and have ore sense than fit our own when we can sit back have a coffee and pay someone else to do it.

Yep for 25 quid i can ride in have the tyres changed whilst i drink coffee and avoid dirty nails and broken fingers

I can fix my own punctures though

If anyone needs tyres in southern Spain I can recommend MotoFast in Malaga.

Jose speaks very good English and if you telephone he will order the tyres in for you if he doesn't already have them in stock.

I paid 280 euros for a pair of Michelin Road Pilot 4's fitted.

There website is www.moto-fast.es

Did you start with a new tyre or was it damaged? Starting a long trip with worn tyres is asking for it......!!

I'm in Spain at the moment, but will be back in Gib Wednesday about 9.30 am. If you need me to go to Kwik Fit to ask them any thing, just let me know, I will be passing the bottom of their road. :thumb2

Top man Rockred....I'm staying in algeciras Friday night and off on ferry Saturday am.....back over into Spain on 17 / 18th.....

There are tyre chains in Spain, just enter 'neumaticos moto' on googlemaps plus the name of where you want one, e.g. Malaga, where I've just found four bike specialists: https://www.google.es/maps/search/neumaticos+moto+malaga/@36.6986084,-4.4713695,14z?hl=en-GB

I highly recommend the Rodi chain, although they're based in the north of the country the have good stock, some branches that have specialist bike workshops and in my experience all are happy to fit tyres that you've ordered on-line and had delivered there - but it's obviously wise to check beforehand, especially for local fiestas when they might be closed ...
