Thank you, rest day today in Khamlia near Merzouga but I did have one sticky moment near sunset, didn't need the sidestand to keep the bike upright either

it will be completely different when you are there next month, probably all rain and ring of kerry tourist buses!! have a great trip
 
All going well, we should be through the gorges and in Merzouga by Oct 15th ish. Will be interested to hear about piste / road after Merzouga as we plan on looping west towards Zagora.

The Southern piste through Remlia has a lot of soft sand (fest fresh) and will be almost impossible on anything bigger than a single trailie.

The piste across from Rissani is more doable but still has technical sections.

You might find you get better advice on Morocco if this was in the Morocco section instead of the Ireland one :D
 
Some of this stuff is mind blowing to me anyway, today's pics are from Khamlia near Merzouga to where I am now 6 hours later, satisfying but tiring day, staying in a 600 year old Kasbah, Anti Atlas mountains both sides of the valley, beef tagine on the way, very happy days... Charles
