Had a fantastic ride out today on the kettle. I still can't get over just how smooth it is for a 40 year old.

However, following the GT500 made me feel like a Benson and Hedges laboratory beagle.....

I had a GT380. Lovely burble from the exhausts but too much power for the frame once it got into it's power band. Great looking bikes.

When I give my KR some beans following its obligatory 5 mins warm up ( to avoid cold seize) it lays down two straight lines of blue smoke for about 50 yards. Childish I know but I love it!

After that it runs clean on Castrol power 1. Is the GT burning too much two stroke or is it starting to devour its gearbox oil. Its not a good policy to run too much 2 stroke as indirectly this causes the engine to run lean and risk holy piston!

The GT 500 had been previously filled with oil having been laid up for a while. It was the residue from that burning up making it look like a very low flying Red Arrow on display.
