Now here's a longshot!

I have an 1981 Yamaha RD200DX which shares a single track commutator for both charging and starting.

It keeps shedding sections of the commutator which in turn absolutely lunches the carbon brushes.

Replacements are like hen's teeth so I'd like to have the original refurbished.

Can anyone recommend a specialist to do this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Here's a pic of the one I bought to replace it ... Sadly it has the wrong taper for the crank fitted to my bike

One of the commutator segments has broken out and the resulting 'gap' has smashed the brushes to pieces ...
