There are tyre chains in Spain, just enter 'neumaticos moto' on googlemaps plus the name of where you want one, e.g. Malaga, where I've just found four bike specialists: https://www.google.es/maps/search/neumaticos+moto+malaga/@36.6986084,-4.4713695,14z?hl=en-GB

I highly recommend the Rodi chain, although they're based in the north of the country the have good stock, some branches that have specialist bike workshops and in my experience all are happy to fit tyres that you've ordered on-line and had delivered there - but it's obviously wise to check beforehand, especially for local fiestas when they might be closed ...

Lifted from another thread, where I think a bod was looking for tyres in Malaga, hence the reference to the town or maybe it was just an example. Either way, it matters not, as it's a useful help anyway.

Made a sticky as it may well help someone in the future who's on the hunt for tyres in Spain.

I can highly recommend MotoFast in Malaga, Jose speaks English and really knows his stuff.

His prices are very good but if you find a better price on line, for delivery only, then he'll do his best to match it (but his price will include fitting/balancing and disposal of your old tyres).

Edit: I've just seen that he's already been recommended in the other thread! :blast

More dealers

Andorra

Sam Tyres, 104 Av. Santa Coloma, +376 811 118 (next to the Harley dealership).

F1 Pneumatics, Av. d'Enclar 22, (+376) 723 923.
These dealers are on the same road, despite the different road names.

Both dealers have a good variety of makes of tyre.
Make sure that you avoid their snooze time between 1pm – 3pm.

Ainsa

Neumáticos Aragón Ainsa, Nave 13-14, 22330 (1/2 mile from the town centre on the eastern side).
Closed between 2pm – 4pm.
They might need up to 48 hours to get the tyre you want, but they are friendly and helpful and one member of staff, Juan, speaks good English.

What a good idea!

So, I used a place in Plasencia that is affiliated to neumaticos-online.es , ordering a Mitas E-07 for delivery there during my tour in 2012 - badly miscalculating how much wear to allow for - a lot!

They don't speak English so I had the advantage of being able to phone them to say when I planned to arrive, but was then late and despite the fact that the work bay was by then full they dropped everything and fitted my tyre in good time to go on to a camping further up the Jerte valley, saving me half a day coming back down later.

Although I now usually use Oponeo as they're cheaper the affiliate set-up with neumaticos-online is really useful as they don't then charge you extra and at least in theory there is a degree of 'quality control' - NB, I say 'in theory' advisedly!

I had a puncture in Lugo last July, I found this company excellent Neumaticos Gonzalez Avda de la Coruna, 165, Lugo- CP 27003 Tel 982 201 460 mobile 626 925 012.

The owner/manager is a member of the local bikers club, and rides a GS 1200 Adv....:thumb2

There's a Rodi in Huesca which is pretty handy if you're in the Pyrenees and need fresh rubber. Not the quickest service, and they like a long lunch break, but the boss spoke decent English, and was used to brits appearing for ride-in-ride-out fittings with no notice.

Spain = siesta = long lunch break :) How many Uk places stay open until 19.30?

Rodi are great!

Oh, I know. This one was meant to be closed from 12 til 3.30 for lunch, but they'd crossed out 3.30 on the sign and written in 4. The scamps. There was nothing for it but to find a bar for a cold beer while we waited. Awful.

Oh what a terrible fate! To be fair many businesses change the lunch break in high summer - making it longer and either starting earlier or closing later in the day - so you do see signs tampered with like that. In fact you were very lucky, many businesses and shops have their opening times clearly set out on the door, which is then covered over by steel shutters when they close ...

Yip.....a good shop :thumby:

In my neck of the woods, Almería Province on the comparatively undiscovered south-eastern Mediterranean coastline, a Brit couple run a place called "Tyre King" in Antas, right by the main coastal motorway A-7/E.15 in the "El Real" industrial park.
Very decent service, if not the keenest prices, but friendly and efficient.

A pair of Michelin's outstanding Pilot Road 3 rubbers, €270 fitted, which involves of course dismantling both ends of the bike - my Spanish bike is the superb mould-breaking New Concept Honda 750 twin with the 6-speed auto transmission, no clutch lever and no gear pedal, to remove each wheel, rip out the old rubber without scraping the rim paintwork, , fit new and then balance up.

Not terribly bad, all told.
And a dire written warning on the invoice :-

"Please corner cautiously for the first 100km to rub-in the tyres, which are very slippery from the release agent used at the factory".

AL in Mojácar.

Neumáticos Motoval Oviedo

Neumáticos Motoval Oviedo did me proud last year... a set of Bridgestone touring tyres, drive in, drive out, for £200.

Soria

I can recommend Motos Valero, 7 Calle Termancia, Soria. 41001.
They dont speak English but I had a straight forward purchase from the.
Order a tyre in advance via jvalero12@yahoo.co.uk

They are a KTM dealer and can get tyres within 4 hours, including
Michelin, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Metzler.

They are not cheap, but are cheaper than BMW bike dealers and can get the tyres.

tyres

If your in the Pyrenees there is a tyre place in the beautiful town of Ainsa.
Sorry can't remember the name, but if you head for the small industrial estate you can't miss them.
It's a general tyre place a bit like ATS is here.\
I just turned up an got a set of tourances fitted for €250.
But was spoilt for choice, could of even have got a pair of TKC's.
They speak good English, make good coffee and were good set of lads.

I guess that's Neumaticos Aragon. Thanks for posting, very useful.

As an Andorran resident I can confirm that Sam's is the best place to go. Just phone in advance to check they have what you want in stock. Andorra will be cheaper than anywhere in Spain or France. The Rodi chain have a branch in Andorra but hold very little stock and IMO are next to useless.

Thanks for this. I like the Rodi chain but agree that the Andorra branch is next to useless ...

I've used Sam's a few times but people should note that even there the range is limited, especially for off road/intermediate tyres. I live about an hour's drive from Andorra and get tyres for my car there - along with a whole load of there stuff! - but for my bikes I prefer to order on-line and get them fitted locally.

Just called in to see if they had a front Tourance Next for my twin cam. Yes they had and fitted in an hour. €125. Not bad drive in drive out. Good service and as said, the manager speaks English.

Ainsa. Had a new front Tourance Next fitted there this week, €125, ride in ride out. The guy doing the work knew what he was doing and he is the only one that works on the bikes. A good recommendation, thanks.
