Or just do them up properly and use threadlock? Mine haven't fallen out in 26k miles (mostly riding without the panniers fitted) and I'm sure very few others will have lost them either.

They were in pretty fecking tight, as I said.. I didn't follow my own advise on the threadlock and I regret it. Could have been that someone borrowed it, but don't think so...

Anyways, just got back from the hardware store and got one very close to it. I'll see if I can make it work... it's the same size, just the head is a bit smaller but it should do the job. Might have to add a bit or rubber to bring it up to size.

I'll just take them off when I take the panniers, which is a rare situation in fairness... just my piece of advise.
