They have a bike I'm interested in & it seems a reasonable price.
They get mixed reviews on Google.
Do any of you guys have any experience of them? Any good? Thanx in advance.

Local to me - notorious for having 'just sold' the online bargain but luckily have one just like it still available

Mechanic at their Triumph branch is well regarded, others not so much. They pile 'em high and sell them quickly so generally a little cheaper

Cheers, I just rang them & the sales guy is going to send me some pics & details via e-mither. I really appreciate the swift feedback which is food for thought, thanx again. :thumb2

If you need some fotos n stuff - I could ask Giles to pop in? :D To be fair, I quite like his pics ..

Not a bad idea but I'd really need something in focus. :D

Where is he these days? He's very quiet.

Laguna are like many large multi franchised bike dealer, showroom full of new and used bikes, several sales people. One positive is that they have sales people dedicated to each marque rather than the jack of all trades approach. The trouble is that their so big that if you pick up the phone to enquire about a specific bike or what's in stock you're unlikely to get a straight answer.
Their parts guys / counter is good and their service department is what you'd expect from a multi franchise outfit.
To sum them up I'd say they were jack of all trades but master of none.

Thanx for the feedback all. The sales guy sent me some e-mails through. He was very honest about the bike & the issues it had so I can't complain about the service I received. Further checks regarding the bike are reqd. on my part before deciding whether or not to proceed.
Thanx again though for everyone's swift answers.

Ahhh .... Bike wankers ....

Yes, busy pounding the miles on my turbo trainer in the evenings getting super fit ... :D

For what it's worth Cato came from their Ashford branch (and is likely to get replaced this spring with either a 1290S or a multistrada ... who knows .. ).

So Yes, Laguna have been fine to deal with from my perspective ... :thumb2

(here is a picture to make you all feel better ... )

would you like me to test ride your bike for you ..??!

That's very decent of you, thanx. There's some damage to the bike I'm interested in, I just need to get some prices for getting it fettled before deciding whether or not to proceed.
Ref the TT are you in training for anything specific?

I haven't set a specific goal, but I do want to do something next year. Whether thats a TDF climb, training camp, sportive ... I'm not sure. I've always been into mountain biking but quite a few of the lads at work are mamils, who commute in. So i've succumbed, bought myself a specialised Roubaix and have been properly bitten by the lycra bug! Structured training five days a week .. ! Its going well, longest ride so far has been 62 .... !

If there's one bloke on this forum that drives me absolutely fucking nuts ...... :D
