HEX Ezcan

Avoid wide cone beams they put far too much light upwards where all it does is dazzle everyone in the county.
There are some good quality narrow beam LEDs on the market that do a better job
Sent somehow.

I totally agree, also if using these lights it's better to mount them high & aim downwards

There are modules on eBay for about £10 that will flash LEDs when you indicate, dim them at night etc etc.
Not as elegant as the hex but minimal cost.

From what I can tell, these will not let your Aux LED lights come on low with the DRL/low beam and then full brightness with high beam/ flash using the OEM switches.
Its a shame the £45ish is added on, makes them a bit expensive. :(

I wonder if when the get type approval for here they will still have the strobe effect as thats illegal, so Im guessing thats why they are not here yet.

so, the lights and brackets have arrived (same as TMF) so i have been looking at where to fit them. Main difference being is that TMF has the GS but with my GSA and wanting to fit them at the same level as the main lights, fixing points are very limited . Managed to locate them and happy with where they can be so it looks like i'll be ordering the HEX EZcan.:thumb2

I'll do it at the weekend. This was just a quick test fit to see where they could go.:beerjug:

I have the HexEZcan fitted to the GS now. It was an easy job 25 minutes mins or so. The install video on the website is easy to follow.

I have 2 tips for novices like me:

First thing to do is unplug the RDC from the canbus. I struggled for 5 mins before I realised there is a little clip on the left hand side of the RDC as you are looking down on it from the exhaust side of the bike that needs to be raised to allow the RDC to be unplugged.

Second thing is when you are pushing the battery connection wires from the HexEZcan through the frame tape them together. It makes it a lot easier to pull through. As they go different directions and are hard to see otherwise.

The have my lights and brackets but still waiting for the solder shrink connectors I want the use for the light wiring.

I'll post the final job when it's done.

I was never really happy with the way I routed the leads to the battery as it could be seen. I found another way that barely fits but you can get the fuse through the hole

That looks great just remember to ensure you have access to your in-line fuse

I like the 3 tap on the brights and the wheel feature. And then if anyone gives you a hard time you can switch it all off.

Settled on the mountains my point for the GSA. Have used some rubber to help stop any vibration. Just got to await delivery of the EXcan then I can wire them in.

Looks good. I've now got all the parts but just sourcing a laptop so I can program the Ezcan then I'm sorted. In the meantime I'll be getting the lights, wiring and Ezcan installed. Hopefully all done this weekend. :).

It does not need to be connected to the bike to program it.

Let me know if you need any assistance with EZCAN

How does the wheel feature work? Can this feature still be used if a NAV 5 is also on the bike?
