EXC headlight bulb upgrade.....any personal recommendations

And the other alternative is to upgrade the stator and rotor with a dc unit and rectifier from Trailtech. This will allow you a generous 100 watts from the generator of unadulterated DC.more than enough for an HID ba20d.

thinking about it, you could buy the HID kit and try it by running of the bike battery and see if its bright enough for you before you buy the trailtech kit.The charging system on the bike isnt man enough to run that load for long.Unless your bike has dc lights fed from the battery , then youre already sorted.

There's a cheaper fix, I've bought the parts for my 400 exc but not got around to fitting, rectifier and diode plus a couple of other bits came to about £16. Obviously you need the right ones but don't have the spec to hand, then simply convert the AC output :beerjug:

Bastard :D....now I've got to get the h/l upgraded :blast...

You can just follow the Polaris!

Got the all of the parts now but haven't had chance to do anything with it yet. Will try to look at the weekend.
