Can a Zumo multi task?

As most of us know the new maps for Zumo won't fit in the internal memory because they are too big. This means you need to fit an SD card into the Zumo to save all of the European maps. I can currently get away with just some of Europe, but will need most of Europe on the Zumo for a trip later in the year.

However I currently use the SD slot for holding all my music which I then listen to on the boring bits of my travelling (yes I know some people don't listen to music, but I do)

So my question is.....has anyone tried storing both maps and music on an SD and got both to work at the same time?

Or am I going to be the Guinea Pig?

Lots of people put lots of maps and lots of music onto an SD card in their 660's. Many (but not all) even get them to work together, too.

Yup. I have MP3 files on my card along with maps. Never had a problem. The only thing I do is clear off all the MP3s from the card before doing an update. Then put them back when i'm done. Don't know why, but it seems to help updates go smoother.
