Has anyone got these? How were they to fit?
SW Motech engine bars.

Don't do it. One of the chaps in the US got some aftermarket bars, and the bike was written off after a drop. He had a nightmare dealing with the claim with the manufacturer. If you want bars, get the BMW ones.

Interesting point, but as long as they are declared to the underwriters - they are no different from crashbungs or pannier frames - something which can reduce the cost of a low-speed slider, but in a more significant "off" - can indent the frame, and result in the requirement for a re-frame which in all probability make the bike an insurance "write off". That same "off" without bunks might only result in plastics damage - who knows?

I have fitted them today and they do fit very nicely no pulling bolts dropped straight in.
i used to have a set , very good not cheap .
when faced with wall or off the side of a mountain , i went to the wall . damaged them , but they did the job . have brought another set .
