SW Motech engine bars.

Don't do it. One of the chaps in the US got some aftermarket bars, and the bike was written off after a drop. He had a nightmare dealing with the claim with the manufacturer. If you want bars, get the BMW ones.:rob
 
Interesting point, but as long as they are declared to the underwriters - they are no different from crashbungs or pannier frames - something which can reduce the cost of a low-speed slider, but in a more significant "off" - can indent the frame, and result in the requirement for a re-frame which in all probability make the bike an insurance "write off". That same "off" without bunks might only result in plastics damage - who knows?

I have fitted them today and they do fit very nicely no pulling bolts dropped straight in.
 
i used to have a set , very good not cheap .
when faced with wall or off the side of a mountain , i went to the wall . damaged them , but they did the job . have brought another set .
