Anyone know if the R1150GS has a socket under the tank to connect the Nav iv cradle or do I need to cut off the plug and hard wire it?

Would you be best connecting it to a standard bmw 12v outlet? That way you take it with you and no power drain! Do you have on one the beak as it is? A 12v power outlet that is.
No 12v outlet on mine within easy reach. The tech I spoke to at Dalkeith Motorrad was pretty sure there is a mating plug under the tank somewhere.

I never found s plug on my 1150, so fitted spade connectors and took power from the 'side' light bulb. Power is only live when the ignition is on or in Park, so no battery drain.
Hi Jeff, did you just piggy back on to the side light supply or use that as a trigger for a relay?

Just piggy backed off the side light, no problems ( powering a Garmin 2610).
