Where Do You Put Your Tent?

Excellent point

Or scrape your toes on corners...

OK, most people would run a mile from towing with a solo, but as long as you remember to brake in a straight line, you hardly notice it's there. As someone with umpalumpa legs, maneuvering a bike at low speed when it's laden high up is a real nightmare, though a big advantage of the boxer engine is that it can't fall *that* far. Shoving all the weight in the trailer so the bike is no more difficult to handle is a boon, and the high speed handling isn't compromised (especially when compared to a fully laden tourer).

AFAIK, if you ride with a trailer in tow in Germany you're limited to about 25kph and need a man walking in front armed with a red flag. The Spanish don't like them much either, but they're a strange bunch.

Whatever, it makes a lot more sense than bolting on a sidecar :)

Coleman tatra 2 - never had a tent that would easily fit in half a pannier before ! apparently the tatra 3 isnt much bigger packed !
quite roomy for a 'small' tent ! and with room for the kit outside of the sleeping bit.

I take the tent out of its bag and store in top box. By storing like that it takes up much less room.
