a few weeks ago I arrived at work to find a van already parked outside the workshop.
Nothing strange in that I suppose:augie
On greeting the fella ,he asked me if I would build him a bike !
On opening the van ,I'm greeted by the sight of two airheads,
Take your pick says he:cool:
I chose this one:D
I forgot to take any pics of the bike prior to stripping
But it appeared to be an R80/7,but more on that later:thumb

It had been stood for a few years,to the point where the fuel tank had rotted through and leaked stale fuel everywhere
The battery had also sulfated and burst

On stripping the bike it started to become clear that it wasn't an 80 at all, but was in fact a 60/7 with 800 cc barrels and heads:clap
Anyway, before long it was reduced to this.:D

Fast forward to this morning,(yes ,working on a Sunday)
All of the fabrication done on the frame,
Motor stripped to a bare block for cleaning and checking, then rebuilt with new shells, seals, timing chain and new piston rings.
The barrels were perfect ,it had been fitted with later nikasil ones, also the heads were good with unleaded seats and new guides:thumb
